The maker’s warranty on coated glass
On coated glass such as SunGuard, the warranty is Guardian’s, and its terms are Guardian’s. Coated glass keeps its maker’s warranty only when it is processed to the maker’s published guidelines; that is what certification attests. We process SunGuard as a Guardian-certified fabricator, certificate HA220726. The certified scope is SunGuard SN, DS and HP, plus ClimaGuard coatings, at 4, 6 and 8 mm.
A coating warranty is not something a fabricator grants. Our part of it is processing to the guidelines, and certification is what attests that. For the warranty terms that apply to your build-up, in or outside that scope, ask in the quote request; the answer comes in writing. What each certification covers →
A written reply from Quality Control
Report a size or spec deviation, or a complaint on a delivered batch. Size or spec deviations are inspected by Quality Control, on site where needed, and reported in writing; where the fault is ours, the pieces are corrected or replaced.
That holds for every reported deviation: an inspection by Quality Control, and a reply in writing you can file with the project records.
The breakage boundary
Report a broken or out-of-size piece with the delivery note number, the piece references, and photos. That is where the report starts. Glass that arrives broken on our truck is replaced. Glass broken during your unloading or afterwards is re-quoted as a new order; send the piece references and we issue the proforma.
The same boundary is in the FAQ on the landing page. Read it in the FAQ →
